Personal Experience

Basudev Sutradhar, has worked on LivelihoodPromotion, Institution Building & Climate Change (Env. Mngt.) issues for over 20 years at the Local, State and national levels. Prior to joining the Bosundhara he worked with the SRD & ISGP, Department of Panchayat and Rural Development, Govt. of West Bengal for 10 years.

At SRD & ISGP, he was the Assistant District Coordinator & District Coordinator (In charge) to advocate rural decentralized development plan and infrastructure development at the district level.

Besides this decentralized and strengthening rural up-samiti including Ortha, Unnayan and Pari Kalpana Up-Samiti. Conducted PRA-PLA and participatory village development plan to decentralized power and Govt. fund to Up-Samiti. He is Institution Building and Environment Managementspecialist and act as devoted workerand prior to joining P & RD Deptt. Govt. of West Bengal for SRD & ISGP he managed m-ICRO-Finance at IIMC, Sonarpur, Kolkata, then joined SPADE at Murshidabad and initiate the SHPI-mICRO-Financeand organized Cluster of Self-Help Group at grass root levels andmultiple projects at SPAR-Coochbehar Project, like Peoples Organisation and Community Development and Child Anti-trafficking and Child Development and climate adaptation program. Basudev Sutradhar has Master Degree in Social Work from Vidyasagar University, Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from IISW &BM, Kolkata, West Bengal.
