Smt. Mithu Banik, is the founder member and key person of Bosundhara. Prior to joining the Bosundhara, she has been working with P & RD Deptt. Govt. of West Bengal since 2007 on Livelihood Promotion for SHG members as a Livelihood Development Officer (DLDO-DRDC, Coochbehar) for nearly 17 yrs. She led district advocacy and policy making issues on SHG program and financial linkages with financial institution, skill training, marketing linkages of farm & non-farm produces. She engaged in bamboo research work and boosting up bamboo produces as business perspectives, connecting with bamboo studies and research institutes and university(Assam, Tripura and West Bengal). She is Expert in Livelihood & Women Empowerment, act as Director-Bosundharaand prior to P & RD Deptt., Govt. of West Bengal, she accomplishes multiple projects including technical support, program assessments, monitoring and evaluation of the livelihood projects under DRDC, SRLM-West Bengal. She also engaged in promoting community-based livelihood services involving multiple stake holders and having experience to work under RCH project, Dept of H & FW,Childline,Old Age Programme, Govt. of WB,few programmes under MSME Dept and NABARD.
